I don't have a card-reader, how can I make a payment?

If you want to set up or amend a payee on your Online Banking service you will need your mobile app if you are registered for Biometrics or a a card-reader. However you don't need your card-reader to arrange a payment to someone that you have paid previously using Online Banking.

To make future online payments we would suggest you check if you are eligible to register for biometrics on the mobile app or order a card-reader.

Order a card-reader

  1. Log on to Online Banking at www.onlinebanking.iombank.com (opens in a new window)
  2. Select 'Security' from the menu.
  3. In the 'Using a card-reader' section select 'Order a card-reader'.
  4. Select a reason from the drop down menu.
  5. Select 'Confirm'.

If your Telephone Banking and Online Banking service is fully activated you can set-up and make a payment by phone.

Please have your customer number and PIN ready as this will enable your call to be answered faster and more securely. These are the same details you use to log in to online banking.
Our Telephone banking service is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Calls may be recorded.

Branch

You can make a payment at a branch. Remember to take your debit card and proof of ID with you.
