Why can't my account be opened straight away?

Your new account will be opened and ready to use in 24 working hours if you were able to provide identification during the application.

Once your account has been opened you will be able to log on to your Online Banking service.

You will be sent an email (if you provided an email address in the application) to confirm when your account is ready to use online.

If this was not the case we may need further information from you to open your account and you should wait for us to contact you by post.
